MWEDO
aims to work towards the empowerment of disadvantaged Maasai women
economically, politically, culturally and socially through implementing
activities in capacity building, HIV/AIDS interventions as well as
Advocacy for Human Rights and Education. It
is known that Maasai, and particularly Maasai women are marginalized
both within their own culture and within mainstream Tanzanian society.
It is MWEDO’s mission to reduce that marginalization and help
create opportunities for Maasai women through the sharing of information
and education whilst protecting the majority of the Maasai culture. |
